When I first started my business in 2017, I experienced all the struggles your average newbie would. I struggled with branding, with creating content, knowing what to post, how to speak to my audience, how to bring in more clients and how to market myself.
Through trial and error, I learned what worked, and what definitely didn't.
I invested money on pointless things and learned the hard way that I didn't really know anything about business.
My first marketing and business event I attended was a turning point for me and my business, it opened my eyes to a new way of thinking. Once I started operating my business with this way of thinking, I saw the results first hand and I knew there was so much I needed to learn.
So I dedicated the next several years to working on my business, not just in it.

Fast forward a few years and I'm now training my own students! The follow up with most students however seemed to all say the same issues, struggling to get models, clients, unsure of how to brand ect. In the end I found myself helping more with business than with anything else.
So after 2 years of training students and seeing the same issues occurring, i stopped training completely and dedicated that time to developing the skills to be able to teach solely the business aspect of running a beauty business.
The Proof...
So you know WHY I started doing this, but if you're a skeptic like myself, you will want to see some proof that i CAN do this.

Well, like most people in Melbourne during 2020-2021 my business was shut down during the lock-downs. Towards the end of the second year of being closed I couldn't take it anymore, I closed down my business and started from scratch in a new state, knowing only a handful of people.
Was it a silly choice? Absolutely, but to better my own mental health it was a chance I was willing to take.

I gave myself 12 months, within that 12 months I worked harder than I ever have in my business, to get it back to the level of success I had in Melbourne. Within 10 months I was booked out weeks in advance.
I wish I could say that all i had to do was 'x,y,z' in order to achieve that, but ultimately it came down to hard work and dedication.
